I made good on my promise to bring more physical activity to my life – I made it to Y twice and the gym three times this week. Now I have another challenge to embark upon: being mindful and choosing gratitude more often than I choose negativity.
However stressful life may seem right now, everything is temporary. I’ve grown to define myself by my stress and attach myself to it. Now I need to keep this in mind: I’m not sure what it is that defines me, but I know what does not. Stress does not.
Today was a good day. I had my biggest yoga class of my time at Hot Yoga Plus, and then taught a Karma class later in the day. All of the proceeds from the class went to Tennessee Alliance for Progress, but truly the best part was seeing my friend from yoga school who saw the picture of the billboard and drove down to support me.
Enough of being bitter. It’s time to be thankful.
